Agartala, 24th March 2026:    With the by-election in the 56-Dharmanagar assembly constituency approaching, BJP candidate has stepped up his campaign, engaging directly with voters through an extensive door-to-door outreach today.

Chakraborty visited the Algapur area, covering booths 22 and 23, where he interacted with residents and sought their support. The campaign began with a small courtyard meeting at a local party worker’s residence, followed by visits across the locality.

Speaking to media personnel here, Chakraborty expressed strong confidence in securing a decisive victory in the by-election. He asserted that candidates from CPI(M) and Congress would fail to make an impact, even claiming that their deposits would be forfeited.

“The lotus will bloom once again in Dharmanagar,” he said.

Highlighting the BJP government’s performance, he stated that people have witnessed visible development across Dharmanagar and the state, strengthening public trust in the party. Referring to the 2018 and 2023 assembly elections, he expressed optimism that voters would once again support the BJP.

Chakraborty also pointed to the enthusiastic participation of youth and the significant presence of women in the ongoing campaign. He claimed that the response from the public during his door-to-door visits has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Now it is only a matter of time before the lotus blooms again in Dharmanagar,” he added.

Several party workers and supporters accompanied the candidate throughout the campaign, reflecting strong grassroots mobilization ahead of the crucial by-election.
