Agartala, 15th May 2026: Sepahijala district recently hosted a merit-based Maktab examination with the participation of 140 students. In this competitive test, Mamoni Akter, a student of Darul Quran Doharam Sabahi Maktab in the remote Jampuijala subdivision, secured the first position across the district, bringing pride to her locality.
Her father, Atikul Islam, expressed immense joy at his daughter’s outstanding achievement. The success of Mamoni has also delighted the local community. To honor her accomplishment, the Doharam Mosque Committee and the Imam organized a felicitation ceremony on Friday, where she was presented with a trophy, certificate, and other gifts.
The event was graced by eminent personalities including Maulana Muhammad Zakir Hussain Al-Jalili, Secretary of Tripura State Imarat-e-Shariah and Nadwatut Tamir, and Mosque Imam Maulana Obaidullah. In his address, Maulana Zakir emphasized that “education is the backbone of the nation” and highlighted the importance of quality learning—whether general or Arabic—for instilling awareness among youth. He praised Mamoni’s parents, the mosque committee, and the Imam for their support.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished figures such as Mosque Committee President Sajal Miah, Hanif Miah, Dr. Abdul Mannan, Sirajul Islam, Akhtar Hossain, Kabir Hossain, and several others, who joined in celebrating the young student’s success.
