Agartala, 15th June 2026: A three-day public welfare camp aimed at delivering government services and benefits to citizens was inaugurated at Bukhri Community Hall in Jampuijala on Monday. The camp is being organized across Tripura on June 15, 16, and 17 as part of the programme marking the 12th anniversary of the Prime Minister’s tenure.
The block-level welfare camp was inaugurated by Birendra Kishore Debbarma, Chairman of the Jampuijala Block Advisory Committee (BAC) and former MLA, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing officials present at the event, Debbarma urged all concerned departments to ensure that the benefits of various Central and State government schemes reach the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries through the camp.
During the inaugural programme, assistance and services under different welfare schemes were provided to people by officials from the Agriculture Department, Health Department, and Social Welfare & Social Education Department. A large number of residents attended the camp to avail themselves of various administrative services.
Speaking on the occasion, BAC Chairman Birendra Kishore Debbarma said that the main objective of such camps is to create awareness among the public about different welfare schemes launched by the Central and State governments. He said these initiatives are designed to bring government services closer to people and ensure that citizens can access benefits without difficulties.
“These camps provide various services, including assistance centres, grievance redressal facilities, and document correction services under one roof. They also help citizens submit new applications and resolve their issues,” Debbarma stated.
The camp is also facilitating direct interaction between government officials and the public, allowing beneficiaries to receive information and support regarding different schemes.
Social worker Nirmal Debbarma, Additional BDO Bir Bahadur Reang, and other officials and dignitaries were present during the inauguration programme. The event witnessed significant public participation, with people turning up to seek government assistance and avail themselves of available services.
