Agartala, 18th March 2026: In a tragic incident, Syandan Patrika journalist Nandan Chakraborty lost his life in a road accident on Tuesday night. The accident occurred on the national highway near Rajapur in the Shantirbazar subdivision.
According to reports, Chakraborty met with the accident while traveling on his scooter. He was critically injured and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
A resident of Ramnagar in Agartala, Chakraborty is survived by his elderly mother, wife, and a child.
The sudden demise has cast a deep shadow of grief across the journalistic community. Colleagues, fellow journalists, and people from various walks of life have expressed their condolences and extended support to the bereaved family.
The area remains in a state of shock following the incident. Police officials have stated that the exact cause of the accident is under investigation.
