Agartala, 2nd June 2025: BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday reached out to Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya to assess the flood situation in the state following days of relentless rainfall.
Several parts of Tripura—particularly West Tripura, Khowai, and Unakoti districts—have been inundated due to continuous downpours. In response, the state government has set up 60 relief camps, with 48 located in West Tripura, 3 each in Khowai and Unakoti, and 6 in North Tripura. These shelters are currently accommodating approximately 2,800 families, totaling around 10,600 individuals.
Sharing details of the conversation on Facebook, Rajib Bhattacharya wrote, “BJP National President and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda spoke to me today to inquire about the unexpected flood situation caused by the recent heavy rains.”
“I briefed him about the ground realities and he assured to stands united in providing all necessary assistance. I sincerely thank and express my gratitude to him for consistently standing by the people of Tripura in every crisis,” Bhattacharya added.
