Kalyani Roy urges administration to initiate action peace violators

Agartala, March 06, 2023: Despite the peaceful election and counting of votes, the Election Commission and the state administration failed to prevent post-poll violence.

Since the second day after counting of votes, the ruling BJP has been constantly attacked by the opposition party, and the TIPRA Motha supremo’s intemperate speech is on the way to breaking the bridge of understanding between tribal populace.

The houses in Teliamura assembly constituency are vandalized and are set on fire by miscreants in different areas, the administration has played the role of a tyranny. For two consecutive days on Saturday and Sunday night, several shops were set on fire in Teliamura market.

Notably, even though miscreants set fire between 100 and 200 metres from the police station, the public has started raising questions about the role of the police.

In a press conference at Teliamura mandal office, party’s election committee chairman Nitai Kumar Saha and newly elected MLA Kalyani Roy Saha said against those who are trying to malign the ruling party and told the police that whosoever disturbs the peaceful atmosphere.
