Agartala, July 11, 2023: Following tradition rituals, Ker Puja is performed on Tuesday. After seven day of Kharchi Puja celebration, Ker Puja begins at the temple of the Chaturdash Devta Mandir in old Agartala block.

All the rituals that are seen in the worship of the gods and goddesses of Hinduism, are not seen in the worship of Ker. It is a tantric worship. Like every year this puja is organized in Rajbari. Chantai was the priest in the worship. This festival is being performed since the kings’ rule in the state. This puja is performed for the welfare of both caste and people.

A priest said that the present government organized this puja in the same way as during the royal period, puja was organized with regularity. He also said that this puja has been organized for 100 years. This Ker Puja will end on Wednesday. This ker is worshiped with fixed boundaries and it is been performed in the premises of Ujjayanta Palace here.

Meanwhile, Social Welfare and Social Education minister Tinku Roy was present. Although the minister stood outside the sacred boundary and received blessings. He said that Ker Puja is an important festival of the people of Tripura which is being worshipped following the decades old traditional rules. Roy wished everyone happiness and well-being.
