Agartala, 10th September 2026 : Tripura Labour Minister Tinku Roy arrived in Mumbai to attend the two-day national conference on Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW), being organised by the Labour Department.
After reaching Mumbai, Roy received a warm welcome at the airport. Expressing his gratitude, the minister said he was deeply touched by the warmth and cordiality extended to him upon his arrival.
The two-day conference is expected to bring together representatives from different parts of the country to deliberate on key issues concerning labour welfare, the rights of construction workers and their overall socio-economic development.
The conference will provide an important platform for discussions and exchange of views on strengthening welfare measures for construction workers, improving their access to benefits and ensuring better protection of their rights.
Roy said the event would offer an opportunity to interact with representatives from across the country and discuss measures aimed at improving the welfare and development of workers in the construction sector.
