Laptop thief nabbed by West Agartala police

Agartala, November 12: The West Agartala police have arrested a man from Chandrapur area for stealing a laptop from a shop in Anant Market in the capital. The accused has been identified as Yasin Malik, a native of Uttar Pradesh.

According to the OC of West Agartala police station, a case of theft was registered in the police station after the shop owner reported that his laptop was missing. The police examined the CCTV footage of the market and identified Yasin Malik as the suspect.

The police said that Yasin Malik had been living in the state for a long time and was involved in buying and selling old electrical goods. He stole the laptop from the shop when the owner was away. The police traced his mobile number and arrested him from Chandrapur area. He also confessed that he lived in Aralia area.

The police have recovered the stolen laptop from him and are further investigating the case. The police have also appealed to the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their vicinity.
