Agartala, 18th May 2024: BJP karyakartas gathered at Dharmanagar on Saturday evening to protest the alleged conspiracy by the Left-Congress to obstruct the state’s development. The rally commenced at BMS Maidan and culminated in a meeting at the base of Netaji’s statue.
Mandal president Shyamal Nath presided over the road meeting and leaders addressed the crowd. State assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, chairman of the Dharmanagar Municipal Council Pradyut De Sarkar and vice chairman Manju Nath were among the keynote speakers.
During the gathering, MLA and Speaker Sen minced no words, labeling former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar as the “Hatimara Sarkar” and designating Jitendra Chowdhury as the Leader of the Opposition for his stance on killing rhino.
Sen emphasized the state government’s commitment to multifaceted development. “Our administration is leaving no stone unturned in education, healthcare, and communication systems. We strive to address the needs and challenges faced by our citizens.”
Tripura, once plagued by terrorism, has witnessed a remarkable transformation under the current regime. Terrorists have abandoned violence and actively contribute to the state’s progress. National-level technical colleges are sprouting up, and essential amenities like toilets, clean water, and housing are now accessible door-to-door.
Sen concluded by highlighting various developmental initiatives undertaken by the government, signaling a departure from the days when leaders needed coaxing to prioritize the people’s welfare.
