Agartala, September 13: Serious allegations have been raised by local drug dealers in Tripura, who claim that illegal pharmacies have been operating within the premises of Tripura Medical College (TMC). In protest against this alleged wrongdoing, drug dealers held a demonstration on September 11 in front of TMC, demanding an immediate halt to these activities. As of now, hospital authorities have not responded to the allegations.

The grievance was voiced during a press conference convened by leaders of the Hapania-based drug dealers and organizations at the Tripura Chemists and Druggists Association on Wednesday. The concerned individuals have expressed their intention to take this matter to the Chief Minister’s attention in the coming days.

Satyabrata Debnath, the Assistant Secretary of the organization, conveyed his dissatisfaction with the ongoing actions of TMC authorities, emphasizing that such actions run contrary to the interests of the people. The organization issued a strong condemnation of these alleged activities.
