Sabroom: March 12. The local resident of Baisnabpur under Sabroom has locked the Health and Wellness Center under Sabroom Sub-divisional Hospital yesterday night protesting bad facility of the hospital.

Residents alleged that proper medical services are not available and alleged that people are not getting proper services.

Two doctors, Dr. Bimal Kanti Tripura and Jackson Tripura, are in charge of providing medical services to patients at this primary health center.

Residents alleged that MOIC Bimal Kanti Tripura has not providing proper services to patients in this health center for a long time.

Although there are two doctors, among them doctors Bimal Tripura and Jackson Tripura, both of them are not performing their duties properly in the primary health center.

As a result of which yesterday on 11th March at around six in the evening, a person tried to commit suicide by drinking poison in Baisnabpur area, but when he was brought to the primary hospital with the help of family members, the duty doctor who was in charge there, Dr. Bimal Kanti Tripura, was not present at the hospital and was roaming with his ambulance since March 10 evening.

Later the family members rushed the person to Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital. The man survived after being treated by the emergency services of the Sub-Divisional Hospital. Therefore, the people of the area got angry due to the plight of the treatment services of the primary health center for a long time and locked the main gate of the primary health center.

The primary health center is currently closed by the people of the area who protested by hanging the locks from 7 pm yesterday.

Locals demanded that to remove the MOIC Dr Bimal Kanti Tripura and Jackson Tripura from here immediately and appoint good doctors there.

But no officials from the Health Department have visited it so far. The residents said that if their demands are not met immediately, they will launch a larger movement.
