Agartala, 20th March 2026:    Serious allegations of examination irregularities have surfaced at Sabroom Higher Secondary School, raising concerns over administrative lapses and the potential impact on a student’s academic future.

According to reports, Riya Mog, a candidate from Dolbari High School, appeared for her Madhyamik examinations at the Sabroom centre. While she reportedly completed four papers without incident, a major discrepancy occurred during the Mathematics examination. Despite being eligible for the “Standard” question paper, she was allegedly provided with the “Basic” level paper.

Sources claim that the error went unnoticed until the final 15 minutes of the examination, when the invigilating teacher realized the mistake and allegedly confiscated both the question paper and the answer script. As a result, the student was reportedly unable to complete her paper, sparking apprehensions that she may be unfairly awarded zero marks.

The incident has drawn criticism from local residents, who have alleged negligence on the part of the centre’s supervisory staff. Allegations have also been raised against the Centre Supervisor, Pranab Das, and an invigilator, Sutapa Pal, a graduate teacher at PM Shri Girls’ School, for purported lapses in duty during the examination.

Further claims from local sources suggest that irregular practices may have been ongoing at the centre, including allegations that certain students received undue assistance during examinations. However, these claims remain unverified, and no official confirmation has been issued by the authorities.
