Mahanam Angan Ashram holds grand religious ceremony

Agartala, 21st March 2026:   A four-day religious festival has been announced at the Shri Shri Mahanam Angan Ashram in Banamalipur, Agartala, to mark the unveiling and consecration of the temple’s newly built spire. The celebrations will run from March 24 to March 27, featuring a series of spiritual and cultural programs.

According to the schedule, the event will commence on March 24 with the installation of the Mangal Ghat. Later that evening, at 6 p.m., the Shrimad Bhagavat recital will be delivered by Shri Bandhu Gaurav Brahmachari, All-India Secretary of the Mahanam community.

On March 25, the recital will be conducted by Jyotirmoy Guha (Gautam Da), All-India Secretary of Mahanam Sevak Sangha. The following day, March 26, special prayers will begin at 7 a.m., followed by the formal unveiling of the new temple spire. In the evening, Shri Dwaipayanbandhu Brahmachari from Kolkata’s Shri Shri Mahanam Angan will lead the Shrimad Bhagavat reading.

The final day, March 27, will open with a yajna and purification rituals at 8 a.m. Offerings and distribution of prasad will take place at noon. The festival will conclude in the evening with arati, a religious assembly, and cultural performances. The entire program will be conducted by Ashish Das of Shri Shri Mahanam Angan, Kolkata.

Ashram secretary Sudip Kumar Roy has extended a heartfelt invitation to devotees and the public to join the celebrations and seek blessings during this auspicious occasion.
