Agartala, 1st August 2026: A nationwide digital campaign titled “Main Bhi Swadeshi Samarthak” (I Too Am a Swadeshi Supporter) was formally launched in Tripura on Saturday, with the initiative set to continue from August 1 to August 20, 2026.
The campaign, jointly organized by the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch and Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, seeks to connect youth, women, students, entrepreneurs, traders and people from different sections of society with the Swadeshi ethos and strengthen the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Speaking at the launch programme at Agartala, Swadeshi Jagaran Manch North-East Regional Liaison In-charge Ratan Kumar Das (CA) said Swadeshi should not be viewed merely as an economic policy, but as an important foundation for nation-building. He urged people to prioritize locally made products, support Indian industries and promote domestic enterprises.
The campaign will be conducted entirely through digital platforms, including online registration, social media and QR codes. Participants will receive a digital “Swadeshi Supporter” certificate after taking the pledge.
The organizers have set a target of enrolling around 5 lakh people from Tripura and plan to conduct awareness drives across all districts. Das appealed to citizens to participate in large numbers and turn the Swadeshi spirit into a mass movement.
