Agartala, 19th February 2025: Agartala Municipal Corporation’s Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar inspected the ongoing renovation work at MB Tilla Market today. He expressed optimism that both buyers and sellers would benefit significantly once the renovation is completed.
Accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Corporator Alok Roy and other officials, Mayor Majumdar reviewed the progress on-site. “The construction work of the market was initially supposed to be completed earlier,” he stated. “However, due to the previous contractor’s inability to complete the work, we had to re-tender the project and assign it to a new contractor.”
He further mentioned that the first phase of the building, with an estimated cost of Rs 1.75 crore is expected to be completed by April of the following year. “We are committed to ensuring that this renovation benefits the community and improves the overall market experience,” the Mayor added.
