Agartala, 15th March 2025: The construction of cover drains along both sides of the road from Battala Shibbari to Dashmighat in Agartala is underway. Following complaints regarding the quality of work in certain sections, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar conducted an inspection yesterday. He was accompanied by corporators Tushar Kanti Bhattacharya, Janhvi Das Chowdhury, and others.
Addressing the issue, Mayor Majumdar stated that he personally examined the quality of the construction and the materials being used. “I ensured a thorough check of the ongoing work. The complaints were concerning, and proper measures will be taken to maintain construction standards,” he remarked.
Additionally, the mayor emphasized the importance of completing the project with due diligence, advising the team to adhere to quality guidelines. The inspection comes as part of the municipality’s efforts to address grievances and ensure accountability in public works.
