Agartala, 28th June 2024: Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and newly elected MLA Dipak Majumdar visited the newly constructed market sheet at MB Tilla, Arundhati Nagar on Friday. He was accompanied by Municipal Corporation’s Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Corporator Alak Roy and other officials from the Municipal Corporation.
During the inspection, Mayor Majumdar highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance the MB Tilla Bazaar. “The beautification work of MB Tilla Bazaar was initiated by Municipal Corporation 14 months back,” he said. “However, due to poor quality work and slow progress, we had to halt the project.”
Mayor Majumdar announced that fresh tenders would be invited, with plans to restart the work before Durga Puja. He assured that the project would be completed within this financial year. “We will not compromise on development work,” he stated. “All work must adhere to quality standards.”
The visit underscored the commitment of the Agartala Municipal Corporation to ensure high-quality development projects across the city.
