Mega health camp benefits 40 residents at Jarultali

Agartala, 5th May 2026:  A mega health camp was organized at the Jarultali Mandap in Middle Jarultali to promote health awareness and provide primary medical services at the community level. The initiative was held under the aegis of Nishi Ranjan Nandita Memorial Hospital and Ayushman Arogya Mandir, with 40 local residents participating. Each attendee underwent a complete health check-up.

The camp offered a wide range of essential medical services, including blood pressure measurement, blood sugar testing, HIV screening, hemoglobin assessment, malaria detection, and tuberculosis (TB) screening. Participants benefited from the opportunity to access multiple health tests in one place. Both Ayurvedic and allopathic consultations were provided, along with necessary medicines.

Specialist doctors present included Dr. Bhabatosh Debbarma and Dr. Ashish Das from Tripura State Ayurvedic Hospital, as well as Dr. Nimon Chakma from the Integrated Ayush Hospital, who worked alongside lab technicians and nurses. Dr. Kamal Ranjan Das, in charge of Nishi Ranjan Nandita Memorial Hospital, played a key role in coordinating the camp.

The District Tuberculosis Office (DTO) and NGO Teresa Social Welfare Organisation, under the Tripura State AIDS Control Society, extended support to make the camp more effective. Senior officials from the Chief Medical Officer’s office, including District ASHA Nodal Officer Dr. Ayan Roy, Ayush DPM Partha Debbarma, and DEO Bhaswati Chakraborty, were present to oversee management, coordination, and data recording.

The mega health camp has been hailed as a significant step toward raising health awareness and ensuring accessible primary healthcare for local residents. Organizers expressed their commitment to continuing such welfare initiatives in the future.
