Agartala, 25th September 2025:   Aiming to empower rural communities through healthcare, a mega specialist health camp was organized today at the Manubazar Community Health Centre in South Tripura. The initiative themed “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” aimed to bring quality medical services to the doorstep of villagers.

The camp was inaugurated at 10 AM by Dipak Dutta, Sabhadhipati of the Dakshin Tripura Zilla Parishad. The event was graced by Manu MLA Mailafru Mog as chief guest alongwith Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jyotirmoy Das, Satchand BDO Surajit Debnath, and social workers Bipul Bhowmik and Samir Pal.

Under the leadership of Dr. Debjyoti Majumdar, the day-long camp featured a team of specialist doctors offering free consultations across pediatrics, ophthalmology, surgery, and physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR). Out of the 432 attendees, 274 patients received medical treatment. Diagnostic services included hemoglobin tests, blood pressure monitoring, diabetes screening, X-rays, oral cancer screening, and antenatal check-ups.

Beyond medical care, the camp distributed essential support items to patients: 33 food baskets, 16 walking sticks, 23 cervical belts, 4 wheelchairs, 57 pairs of spectacles, and special kits for TB and anemia champions. The gesture brought smiles of gratitude to many faces.

In his inaugural address, Sabhadhipati Datta reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering healthcare to rural populations. MLA Mailafru Mog emphasized, “A woman’s health is the strength of her family, today’s camp is a true reflection of that belief.”

Thanks to the active participation of local health workers and community health officers, the camp not only provided treatment but also instilled renewed confidence in rural life, laying a stronger foundation for the vision of “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar.”
