Agartala: May 07. A joint initiative of Agartala Press Club and Illusion and in collaboration with Redcliffe Lab organized a health screening camp today, Sunday at Agartala Press Club. Free blood sugar fasting and PP, lipid profile and thyroid profile tests are conducted in this camp. In the beginning, on behalf of the press club, President Jayanta Bhattacharya felicitated Sumit Mallick, representative of Illusion, and joint secretary Kamal Chowdhury, owner of Redcliffe Pritam Saha, with memento gifts.
Around 50 journalists and photojournalists participated in this health check-up camp. Agartala Press Club president Jayanta Bhattacharya announced the official opening of the health check-up camp besides thanking all concerned for extending their hand of cooperation in the activities of Agartala Press Club. Other functional members of the club were also present on the occasion. The program was conducted by senior journalist Suprabhat Debnath. Lab technician Rimi Sen was of great help in setting the precedent of personal record number of blood collection. Nursing staff Rozina Akhtar also assisted. Sponsor was Kreations Hair Studio. Rupam Roy, the owner of Illusion expressed hope that such health camps will continue in the future. Abhishek Dey, Assistant Secretary of the Press Club, thanked all concerned that the health camp was a success with the cooperation of everyone, with such a massive response to the initiative of the Press Club.
