Agartala, 2nd December 2025 :  Residents of Ward No. 6, particularly the TRTC Para area, have raised serious concerns over the deteriorating civic infrastructure. Roads, drinking water supply, and drainage repair works have remained stalled for months, leaving the locality in disarray.

Locals of TRTC Para today gathered at the Ambassa Municipal Council and submitted a deputation to the Chairman, pressing a three-point demand for immediate action. The delegation was led by community representative Samrat Basak, who handed over the memorandum on behalf of the residents.

Speaking to reporters, Basak said, “The residents of TRTC Para have been paying taxes to the Ambassa Municipal Council, yet they are deprived of basic civic amenities. That is why we united today to submit this deputation. If our demands are ignored, the people of this area will be compelled to launch a larger movement in the coming days.”

The deputation highlights the growing frustration among residents over stalled development projects and signals the possibility of intensified public protests if corrective measures are not taken promptly.
