Agartala, 8th May 2026: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that the state government is providing jobs through a transparent recruitment policy and currently, educated unemployed youth are getting jobs according to their merit and qualifications.
Dr. Saha said this in his speech as the chief guest at the appointment letter distribution ceremony of various departments held at Pragya Bhavan today.
He said that the state government has so far provided government jobs to 20,960 people in various departments. In addition, 24,078 people have been given jobs through outsourcing and contractual appointments in other fields.
The Chief Minister said that appointment letters are being distributed through such programs because the state government is providing jobs with transparency.
“The government wants to move forward by creating a link between efficiency and development in government work. The country is moving forward in every field of development today because Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized efficiency in work to build a better India. The employability rate in the country, which was 33.95 percent in 2013, has increased to 54.81 percent today. The state government has also emphasized efficiency to take development forward. Every developmental work of the government is being implemented throughout the state, including the TTAADC area. Every person from the caste and tribal sections of the state is getting its benefits,” he said.
The Chief Minister told the job seekers that they should establish themselves in their respective fields with efficiency, transparency, dedication, and a service mentality.
“They should think of doing something not only for themselves but also for the people. Earlier, there was a shortage of employees in the technical departments of various sectors, including health, in the state. Currently, the state government has taken initiatives to fill that shortage. To increase the speed of government work, e-office services have already been introduced in Tripura from the Assembly to the panchayat level. Tripura has secured the first position in the country in the progress of reform work because developmental work is being carried out in the right manner,” he said.
