Agartala, 25th April 2025: Tension gripped the regions of Dharmanagar and Dukli in Tripura following attacks on CPIM party offices. The incidents, allegedly carried out by BJP-affiliated miscreants, resulted in extensive vandalism and destruction of property, according to CPIM workers.
In Dharmanagar, a group of 40-50 individuals reportedly stormed the CPIM office on motorcycles during an ongoing meeting to discuss party programs. The attackers caused significant damage, leaving the area in turmoil. A CPIM worker on the scene claimed that BJP-affiliated individuals have been orchestrating violent acts across the state.
Similarly, in Dukli, CPIM leaders were in the process of submitting a deputation to the Block Officer, addressing demands such as timely payment of wages under REGA and TUEP schemes and the provision of essential food grains through ration shops. During this procession, the Dukli CPIM office was also targeted and vandalized.
