Agartala, 12th March 2025:  A wave of shock and mystery has gripped the Gamai Bari area under Teliamura police station after a mother, Hemlata Das, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on her son’s wedding day.

According to reports, Hemlata Das, wife of Manindra Das, lived separately from her sons in the same locality. On Wednesday, as the wedding celebrations of her son took place at the son’s residence, tragedy struck at her home.

Her husband, Manindra Das, who was attending the wedding festivities, returned home to find Hemlata lying unconscious. Without any delay, she was rushed to the Teliamura Sub division Hospital, where doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

While speaking to the media, Manindra Das claimed that his wife was mentally unstable. However, he did not provide any details regarding the cause of her death. This has fueled widespread speculation among the locals, who suspect foul play. The mysterious timing of her demise—coinciding with her son’s wedding—has led to several rumors and suspicions in the area.

The police have been informed, and an investigation is underway to uncover the truth behind the tragic death. The deceased’s body has been sent to the morgue of Teliamura Subdistrict Hospital for autopsy. The body will be handed over to the family members after the post-mortem examination.
