Agartala, 22nd August 2026 : Member of Parliament Rajkumari Kriti Devi Debbarman visited the Agartala Dairy Plant of Gomati Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Limited on Saturday and reviewed the functioning of the cooperative dairy organisation.
During the visit, she was warmly welcomed by Chairman Ratan Ghosh. She subsequently interacted with the Chairman, senior officials, officers and employees of the organisation during a cordial meet-and-greet session.
The interaction focused on various aspects of the dairy plant’s operations, including the cooperative movement, milk procurement and the role of dairy cooperatives in supporting milk producers and strengthening the rural economy. Discussions also highlighted the importance of ensuring quality dairy products while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for members of the dairy farming community.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on the challenges and prospects of the dairy sector and the contribution of cooperatives towards improving the economic well-being of milk producers. The collective efforts of the Gomati Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union in promoting dairy activities and maintaining quality standards were also appreciated.
Employees of the organisation welcomed the interaction with the MP and expressed their appreciation for her visit and encouraging words. Her engagement with the workforce served as a source of motivation for the employees and the wider Gomati Dairy family.
