Agartala, July 2, 2023: Once again, the people of Shilghati had to witness a heart-wrenching incident. Five young children were innocently playing at home on Sunday when a sudden tragedy struck.
The mud wall of their house collapsed, burying two girls under its weight. Amidst the chaos, Anisa Begum was rescued after 10 agonizing minutes by the brave personnel from the Kakraban fire department. However, the other girl, Saji Begum, despite subsequent efforts, could not be saved and tragically lost her life.
Saji Begum was swiftly rushed to Kakraban Hospital, but the attending doctor confirmed the devastating news that there was no hope for her survival. Anisa, on the other hand, was immediately transferred to Gomati District Hospital by her family members for further medical assistance.
This heart-wrenching incident has left the entire Shilghati community in tears, as they mourn the loss of a young life and pray for Anisa’s recovery.
