Agartala, 4th May 2025: A tragic incident took place in the Silotia Mura area of Chechurimai under Bishramganj police station as the body of a middle-aged man was found floating in a local pond today. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Nirmal Pal, son of the late Yudhishthir Pal.
Local villagers first spotted the body in Jagadish Debnath’s pond, prompting immediate distress among residents. News of the shocking discovery quickly reached Pal’s family, who rushed to the scene, grief-stricken.
Following the family’s report, Bishramganj police swiftly arrived at the location, retrieved the body, and transferred it to Bishramganj Primary Health Center for an autopsy.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine whether the death was a case of suicide or murder.
