Agartala, 9th March 2025: Union Health Minister and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda during his visit to Agartala on Sunday declared two new welfare schemes of Tripura government for the girl child in the state—Mukhyamantri Balika Samridhi Yojana and Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana.
Addressing a massive gathering at Swami Vivekananda Maidan during the celebration of the BJP-led Tripura government’s two-year tenure, Nadda said, “Today, I am announcing two key initiatives. Under the Mukhyamantri Balika Samridhi Yojana, the state government, led by Manik Ji, will deposit a bond of ₹50,000 for every girl child born in a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family. When she turns 18, the bond will mature to ₹10 lakh. The second initiative, Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana, earlier promised scooties to the top 100 meritorious girls. Now, we are expanding the scheme to benefit 140 students.”
He commended the people of Tripura for their unwavering support and enthusiasm, affirming that the BJP government, led by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, represents the voice of the people. “This government is committed to last-mile delivery of benefits. Our policies are not merely on paper; they are transforming lives at the grassroots level. Under the leadership of Dr. Manik Saha and with the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has successfully completed two years of governance, following five years of effective rule. I thank the people of Tripura for electing BJP candidates in both Lok Sabha seats in 2019 and again in 2024,” Nadda stated.
Emphasizing the BJP’s mission of service over power, he remarked, “We do not seek power for personal gains but for serving the people. This is why Prime Minister Modi is in office for the third consecutive term, dedicated to the role of ‘Pradhan Sevak.’ The BJP-led Tripura government prioritizes the welfare of villages, the underprivileged, Dalits, deprived sections, tribal communities, women, youth, and farmers.”
Nadda also launched a scathing attack on the CPIM and Congress, accusing them of fostering violence and unrest during their rule. “During the CPIM’s tenure, Tripura witnessed rampant violence, bloodshed, and rising crime. However, under BJP rule, the state has seen a 20% decline in crime, making it one of the safest states in the country. The recent CPIM-Congress alliance is nothing but a desperate attempt to regain power. Their past rule was marked by widespread violence, incidents of rape, and murder. In contrast, the BJP has transformed Tripura into a peaceful and progressive state,” he added.
