Agartala, 4th December 2025 : The Kalaban Women’s Cluster Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. has launched a major awareness initiative to promote gender equality and safeguard women’s rights. Yesterday, the cluster office near the Gorji Forest Office organized a “National Campaign Rally for Gender Equality,” drawing enthusiastic participation from cluster workers and hundreds of members of various Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
The rally, held in the afternoon, was marked by colorful festoons, banners, and slogans carrying powerful social messages. Participants raised voices against dowry, child marriage, and child labor, while stressing the importance of girls’ education and women’s safety. Slogans such as “Say No to Dowry,” “Educate Girls,” “Stop Child Labor,” and “Safe Women in a Safe Society” resonated across the area, attracting the attention of local residents.
The central aim of the rally was to call for an end to violence against women, expand access to education, and establish equality across society. Cluster officials, SHG members, and local social workers joined the march, which generated notable enthusiasm among women in the community.
Speaking at the event, representatives of the Kalabon Women’s Cluster emphasized that active resistance against gender discrimination is the need of the hour. They highlighted that building a safe and equal society for both men and women through awareness is the primary goal of the campaign.
Local observers noted that such initiatives can play a vital role in driving positive social change. The rally has sparked fresh discussions on women’s education, prevention of child marriage, and the eradication of dowry practices. Participants expressed hope that the message of awareness will reach every household.
