Agartala, 5th April 2026: Bishalgarh police have achieved a major breakthrough in the recent shooting incident. Under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bijoy Das, police arrested Nayan Deb, a close associate of prime accused Sohel, from Guwahati.
Police sources informed that Nayan Deb, a resident of Siddhi Ashram under Amtali police station, had been in contact with the main accused after the incident and was actively assisting them.
Meanwhile, the prime accused Sohel hails from Chandan Nagar Tilla No. 2 under Bishalgarh police station. Since the shooting, both Sohel and Ranbir have been on the run. Allegations suggest that Sohel, a notorious figure, has been spending large sums of money through various channels to evade law enforcement.
Police have intensified search operations to apprehend Sohel and Ranbir. Tension continues to prevail in Bishalgarh following the incident.
