Agartala, 29th November 2025: Narasimha Murty, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi), Rajesh Deshkar, social worker, Ranendra Roy Choudhury, Senior Manager, NEDFi Tripura Centre & other officials of NEDFI visited NB Institute for Rural Technology (NBIRT) “ARKANEER” & it’s different centres today.
Research Scholars Debasmita Ganguly and Payel Debnath felicitated the esteemed guests at the entrance of Arkaneer. The team visited the entire premises of NBIRT Sekerkote, West Tripura.
Kapil Baran Bhowmik, Vice President, NBIRT explained the necessity of cost effective construction technology for the benefits of the Society. P.L. Ghosh, Technical Adviser, NBIRT also demonstrated the Solar Dryer and other innovative equipments related to renewable energy which have greatly impressed the visitors.
A detailed conversation over telephone was made between Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Chaudhuri, eminent Scientist & Hony President of NBIRT and the CMD of NEDFi regarding innovative technologies and overall community development.
Thereafter, the CMD along with his team visited the “SUNIL” Project office, Uttam Bhakta Chowmohani, Sekerkote which is supported by the Science and Technology Department, SEED Division, Government of India. The entire SUNIL project team demonstrated all the components of SUNIL project.
Anup Dey, Project Officer, NBIRT briefed about the future market potential of innovative products. The Chairman and Managing Director interacted with the bamboo artisans of business incubation centre under SUNIL Project and informed the different facilities NEDFi may extended to them.
The visitors expressed keen interest in the different activities that NBIRT pursuing over the years and showed interest for collaboration with NBIRT in coming days. All the dignitaries were very cordial and pleasant in their interactions. Commendable feedback and expressed their sincere thanks to NBIRT team.
