Agartala, March 15, 2024: Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha reportedly distributed portfolios among the recently sworn-in Ministers and Ministers of State from Tipra Motha on Friday.
Earlier, on March 8th, Tipra Motha, the principal opposition party in Tripura, joined the BJP government, with MLA Animesh Debbarma taking oath as a cabinet minister, and another MLA, Brishaketu Debbara, as Minister of State.
State government sources confirmed that Cabinet Minister Animesh Debbarma has been assigned the portfolios of Forest, General Administration (Printing and Stationery), and Science, Technology, and Environment. Meanwhile, Brishaketu will oversee the Industry and Commerce department, which was previously held by BJP Minister Santana Chakma.
When reached for comment, Animesh Debbarma denied having received any such information.
