Agartala, 28th July 2026 : The NHM United Forum Tripura has submitted a memorandum to the competent authority, urging the government to address several long-pending service-related issues affecting employees working under the National Health Mission (NHM) in the state.
In the memorandum, the forum highlighted a series of genuine demands aimed at improving the welfare and working conditions of NHM employees. Among the key demands are the rationalization of human resources to ensure equitable and need-based deployment of staff across healthcare facilities, introduction of Festive Advance to provide financial assistance during major festivals, and extension of Restricted Holiday (RH) benefits to NHM personnel.
The forum has also sought the provision of Child Care Leave (CCL), stating that it would help employees balance their professional responsibilities with family obligations. Additionally, it requested the construction or allotment of staff quarters, especially for employees posted in remote and difficult areas of the state.
Representatives of the NHM United Forum Tripura expressed hope that the government would give due consideration to these long-pending demands. They stated that addressing these issues would significantly improve employee welfare, enhance workplace morale, and ultimately strengthen the delivery of quality healthcare services across Tripura.
The forum reiterated its commitment to working constructively with the government and the administration for the welfare of NHM employees while continuing to provide dedicated healthcare services to the people of the state.
“Empowered Employees Build a Stronger Healthcare System,” the forum said, emphasizing the importance of supporting frontline healthcare workers.
