Agartala, 18th April 2026:   In a bid to maintain law and order, the district administration of West Tripura District has issued a public notice imposing restrictions on movement near the Indo-Bangladesh International Border (IBB).

The order has been promulgated under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. As per the directive, movement of people within a 500-meter radius of the border areas falling under Sadar and Mohanpur sub-divisions will be strictly prohibited during night hours, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

However, exemptions have been granted to essential services, security personnel, and individuals facing emergency situations.

The administration has urged all citizens to cooperate with the authorities and adhere to the guidelines to help maintain peace and security in the region.
