Agartala, 18th April 2026: Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, speaking ahead of a meeting with elected and non-elected representatives of the recently concluded TTAADC elections, stressed that constitutional rights must take precedence over posts and positions.
Debbarma said the situation of Tiprasa is unique and called for unity to secure the community’s rightful entitlements. He urged an end to internal conflicts, emphasizing that unrest must be avoided and true focus directed toward securing people’s rights.
He clarified that electoral success was not the ultimate victory, stating that real triumph would come only when the rights of Tiprasa are secured under the accord. On Village Council elections, Debbarma noted the Supreme Court’s verdict and said polls are expected by June, pledging to restore rights, uphold democracy, and bring development to every council.
Concluding his remarks, Debbarma reiterated his commitment to ensuring a better tomorrow for Tiprasa through unity and constitutional safeguards.
