Agartala, 30th July 2024: A horrifying incident has come to light near Sarva Dharma Mission area, AD Nagar here, where a nine-year-old girl has accused her father of repeated sexual abuse. The young girl, who should be playing with dolls, is now standing at the police station demanding the death penalty for her father.
The accused father has allegedly been raping and molesting his third-grade daughter for an extended period. The girl’s brother found the abuse and informed their mother, who then filed a case against her husband at the West Agartala Women’s Police Station, demanding his execution.
According to the complaint, the father took advantage of the absence of other family members to repeatedly brutalize his daughter. He also threatened to kill her if she reported the abuse. On July 24, the father allegedly tortured the girl again, which was witnessed by her brother. Upon learning the truth, the mother confronted her daughter and confirmed the abuse. The accused father fled the home when other family members became aware of the situation.
With the help of local residents, the mother filed a written complaint against her husband on Tuesday. In a heart-wrenching appeal to the media, the mother demanded the death penalty for her husband, highlighting the severity of his crimes. The entire community, including the family, is in shock over the father’s actions.
The young girl, standing before media cameras, bravely demanded justice, stating that her father had been torturing her for a long time. She finally found the courage to speak out with the support of her brother and mother. This incident has once again raised questions about the safety of women and children within their own families.
The West Agartala Women’s Police Station is now under pressure to swiftly apprehend the accused and ensure justice is served.
