NLFT cadres held in Bangladesh deported in Tripura

Agartala: February 25. A member of the NLFT militant outfit was brought by the state police from Assam’s Sutarkandi BOP. The name of the NLFT cadre is Bidhu Debbarma. His house is in Devendra Chowdhury Para.

He was in jail in Bangladesh for a long time. The Bangladeshi police then handed him over to the BSF through the Indo-Bangladesh border at Karimganj in Assam. Then the BSF jawans handed over the captured NLFT to the Tripura police. The NLFT cadre has said he surrendered to the police in Panisagar in 2015. In 2019, he went to Bangladesh to bring his wife to Tripura. But while there he was arrested by the Dhaka police and imprisoned. Later he was handed over to BSF jawans. At present, the arrested enemy is in the custody of the state police.
