Agartala, 21st January 2026: Minister Sukla Charan Noatia accompanied by a delegation visited the Bru Rehabilitation Centre at Kala Laogang in Santirbazar subdivision. The minister interacted with Bru families who had been displaced from Mizoram and are now resettled in the area.
Joining him were MLA Pramod Reang, South Tripura District Magistrate Muhammad Sajjad P., IAS, along with senior officials from various departments. The delegation held discussions with the families on key issues including education, healthcare, drinking water, government assistance, and their grievances.
Minister Noatia directed the District Magistrate to ensure prompt action in resolving any problems faced by the community. Emphasizing the government’s commitment, he said:
“The BJP-IPFT coalition government is sincere about the welfare of the Bru Reang community. The previous government did nothing for them, only made empty promises. Since this government came to power, the Bru people have received their rightful entitlements. We are continuously working for their development and progress.”
Bru families welcomed the opportunity to share their concerns directly with the minister, MLA, and district officials, highlighting their needs and challenges in the rehabilitation process.
