Agartala, 7th December 2024: The state education system is facing severe challenges due to a critical shortage of teachers, according to NSUI state president Swarup Kumar Shil.
In a press conference at Congress Bhavan here today, Shil highlighted the dire situation and announced plans for a larger movement to address these issues.
“The state education system is in a bad state. Every school is suffering from a shortage of teachers. Students are taking to the streets to demand their right to education,” Shil said. He noted that NSUI has submitted deputations to various colleges, voicing concerns over the teacher shortage.
Shil further alleged that many schools are on the verge of closing due to the lack of teaching staff. “This is not just about a few schools; it’s a widespread issue affecting the entire state. We will join a larger movement in the coming days to restore the education system in Tripura,” he declared.
He also criticized the state government, stating, “Unfortunately, the education minister has no say in the state education system. This negligence is unacceptable and needs immediate rectification.”
The press conference highlighted the urgency of the situation, with the NSUI calling for swift action to ensure that students receive the education they deserve. The proposed movement aims to bring attention to the crisis and demand solutions from the authorities.
