Agartala, 7th December 2024: Aspirants for the STGT staged a protest in front of the City Center on Saturday demanding the immediate release of exam results and the initiation of the recruitment process. The STGT exam was conducted in 2022, and despite the passage of two years, the results have not been released.
An examinee stated, “We have approached TRBT (Teachers’ Recruitment Board of Tripura) several times, but no response has been received. The recruitment process is still on hold.”
The protesters alleged that the delay was initially attributed to legal reasons, which have now been resolved. “Despite the resolution of legal issues, TRBT is not completing the recruitment process. We are here to demand the immediate release of results,” the examinee added.
The job aspirants also highlighted the severe shortage of teachers in various schools across the state. “Students are blocking roads every day, demanding the recruitment of teachers. However, the state government is not taking any initiative to address the shortage,” another protester said.
The protest highlighted the urgency of the situation, as both job aspirants and students continue to suffer due to the administrative delays. The protesters vowed to continue their agitation until their demands are met.
