Agartala, 7th December 2024: A 50-year-old man named Pradip Debbarma died under mysterious circumstances while collecting firewood in the forest near Champlai area of Chakmaghat under Mungiakami police station. The incident has caused a sensation in the locality.
According to the family, Debbarma and a companion went to the forest yesterday, but only the companion returned in the evening. Concerned about his absence, the family searched for Debbarma and eventually filed a missing person’s report with Mungiakami police station.
This morning, the search party including family members and police found Debbarma’s body in the forest. The police recovered the body and sent it to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital for autopsy.
A police official stated, “There were no visible injury marks on the body. The cause of death is yet to be determined. We have registered a case of unnatural death and have begun investigations.”
The police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding Debbarma’s death. The autopsy results will understand the cause of this mysterious death.
