Agartala, 3rd March 2026: The Dhalai District Animal Resource Development Department organized a one-day workshop on Tuesday at the Ambassa Panchayat Raj Training Institute, where financial assistance was distributed to beneficiaries under various departmental schemes and outstanding livestock farmers were felicitated.
The event was graced by Dhalai Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Sushmita Das as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included Parishad member Dipti Deb Rakshit, Ambassa Municipal Council Vice-Chairperson Gopal Sutradhar, Additional District Magistrate Partha Das, and Deputy Director of the department, Dr. Subrata Shukladas, among others.
During the workshop, livestock farmers from across the district received scientific training on animal husbandry practices. Beneficiaries were also provided financial support under ongoing schemes. This year, the department aims to extend assistance to 4,600 beneficiaries in Dhalai district.
As part of the program, cheques were ceremonially handed over to selected beneficiaries, while the sanctioned amounts will be directly credited to their bank accounts.
