Agartala, 7th March 2024 : Tripura Police on Thursday arrested one person and seized drugs worth Rs 2 lakh from Churaibari in North District.
Speaking on the issue, Officer-In Charge of Churaibari Police Station Samaresh Das said that they had information that a person was selling drugs with his E-rickshaw in and around Churaibari.
“Yesterday night, based on the secret information, We rushed to the spot and detained him from Sale Tax officer near Churaibari. He was identified as Islam Uddin (52) a resident of Phulbari Ward No. 4 area in Churaibari. When we searched him we have found 150 vails of brown sugar and 10 packets of Yaba containing 1950 tablets were also seized”, he said.
OC Samaresh Das said the black market value of the seized items would be Rs 2 lakh.
