Agartala, 23rd May 2026: Former Chief Minister and present Lok Sabha MP from Tripura West, Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday urged BJP party workers to remain dedicated to public service and uphold the ideology of the party while addressing party functionaries of Banamalipur Mandal through a video conference during the ongoing ‘Maha Abhiyan’ campaign.
Speaking during the ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Maha Abhiyan’ programme held at Dhaleswar Kamini Kumar School, Deb said he has always shared a close emotional bond with the people of Banamalipur and would continue to do so in the future as well. He emphasized that party functionaries must remain committed to serving the people sincerely instead of being distracted by criticism or unnecessary remarks from others.
Deb further stated that workers should focus on the responsibilities they are carrying out at the grassroots level and continue working in line with the party’s ideals. “For the people, this party is the very breath of life,” he remarked while motivating party leaders and workers participating in the programme.
The training programme was organized under the initiative of the Banamalipur Mandal as part of the BJP’s nationwide ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Maha Abhiyan’. State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee attended the programme in person along with several other party leaders and workers.
Addressing reporters, Bhattacharjee said the BJP regularly organizes training camps for party cadres and functionaries. He informed that the national leadership of the party has initiated the ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Maha Abhiyan’, and the Banamalipur Mandal training camp commenced on Saturday as part of that initiative.
According to him, the two-day programme will conclude on Sunday and will cover eight important topics during the current session. He further added that similar training sessions at the district level would later include discussions on nearly twelve different subjects aimed at strengthening organizational activities and ideological awareness among party workers.
