Agartala, 21st January 2026: On the eve of the 77th Republic Day, a captivating patriotic band show was organized in front of the Integrated Check Post at Sabroom. The event, initiated by the 9th Battalion of the Tripura State Rifles (TSR), filled the atmosphere with stirring patriotic tunes and disciplined performances, creating a vibrant sense of national pride across the locality.
The program was graced by several dignitaries, including Commandant of the 9th Battalion TSR Alok Bhattacharjee, South District Superintendent of Police Maria Krishna C, MLA of the 39-Manu constituency Mailafru Mog, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Suman Rakshit, TSR officer Banoj Biplab Das, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Nityananda Sarkar, and BSF officer Rakesh Chandrolia, along with other senior police and TSR officials.
A large number of schoolchildren attended the show, their enthusiastic presence becoming a highlight of the day. As the band played patriotic melodies, the young audience was visibly inspired, awakening a renewed sense of national consciousness and appreciation for the significance of Republic Day.
Speaking to the media personnel after the event, the guests emphasized that Republic Day is not merely a ceremonial occasion but a symbol of India’s Constitution, democracy, and unity. They expressed hope that such cultural and discipline-oriented programs would strengthen the spirit of patriotism and responsibility among the younger generation.
