Agartala, 4th March 2025: Pradesh Congress spokesperson Prabir Chakraborty has launched a scathing attack on the current state government, alleging widespread corruption across various departments. Addressing a press conference at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan on Tuesday, he also accused the previous government of engaging in corruption and black market trading.

Chakraborty strongly criticized the job scenario in the state, highlighting that 378 government jobs had been given to individuals from outside Tripura, leaving the state’s unemployed youth in a dire situation. He raised concerns over how local job seekers would secure employment if positions were allegedly being sold or allocated through dubious transactions.Expressing further discontent, the Congress spokesperson slammed the Trinamool Congress, accusing it of facilitating the passing of students in exchange for money.

“The ruling party has indulged in corruption, just as the previous rulers did. Corruption and black market trading have plagued both the past and present governments,” Chakraborty asserted during the press briefing.

Apart from leveling corruption charges, he also discussed Congress’s upcoming program scheduled for March 11, urging supporters to participate actively. With these allegations, political tensions are expected to rise ahead of the party’s planned movement. The ruling government has yet to respond to the accusations made by the Congress leader.
