Agartala, 13th May 2026: A serious allegation of sexual harassment and rape has been leveled against a Physics teacher from a reputed private school located in the suburbs of Agartala city today.
It is reported that the teacher allegedly subjected a Class XII student to repeated sexual assault at his rented residence near a local club under the jurisdiction of Airport Police Station. The victim was reportedly intimidated and coerced into silence.
The incident has triggered widespread outrage among parents and local residents, who have condemned the alleged exploitation and demanded strict action. Shockingly, sources claim that similar instances of student abuse have occurred previously within the same institution.
As the matter surfaced, the school principal allegedly attempted to suppress the issue rather than cooperate with authorities, further fueling public anger. The victim’s family has lodged a formal complaint against the accused teacher, sources added.
However, OC of Airport Police Station, Susanta Deb along with official from East Agartala Women Police Station stated that they have not received any official information regarding such a case.
