Agartala, 27th December 2023 :  As part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted virtually with beneficiaries of various central government schemes.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister engaged with Arjun Singh Sonar, a beneficiary of central schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Grameen and Ujjawala Yojana, in East Bamutia Gram Panchayat of the state.

This virtual event was organized at the premises of the Bamutia Tehsil office. Prior to the event, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy inaugurated the new building of the Bamutia Tehsil Office and also launched the development camp in East Bamutia Gram Panchayat as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra and Good Governance 2.0 Abhiyan.

While addressing the audience, the finance minister emphasized that the main goal of the Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra is the self-empowerment of the country’s women, youth, and marginalized populations.

“Hence, mobile campaign vehicles are traversing the country to include those who are still deprived of any government schemes into the mainstream of development. In order to deliver development programs and services to the people, the state government has initiated a good governance campaign. The state government has been determined from the very beginning to provide services to the people promptly,” he said.

The Finance Minister also mentioned that the state government is striving to provide all facilities and services to the common people through good governance. “The Tehsil office is one of the means of providing good governance to the people. There are 222 Tehsil offices in the state. Among them, the journey of the Bamutia Tehsil Office began in 1965. Approximately Rs 28 lakh were spent on the construction of the new Tehsil office building,” said Roy.

He emphasized that the ambiance of any government office and the conduct of officials contribute to the public’s perception of the government. The finance minister also stated that during the current government’s tenure, the agriculture division office and rice processing center have been established in Bamutia.
