Agartala, September 11, 2022: The PR Bari police station staff in Rajnagar finally managed to arrest the old man Anil Das who was accused in the case of raping a minor girl. The accused was arrested from Dhwajnagar in Udaipur last night and brought to PR Bari police station on the basis of secret information.
Anil Das, who is accused of raping a minor, was produced in Belonia court this afternoon. As Sunday is a holiday, the special court remanded Anil Das to one-day in jail and ordered to produce the accused Anil Das in court again tomorrow.
A ten-year-old minor girl was raped in Niharnagar Hospital Tilla area of Rajnagar block under Belonia subdivision. The 70-year-old Anil Das is accused of raping a minor. A case was filed by the family of the ten-year-old minor against the alleged rapist Anil Das. The police registered the case under POSCO Act and produced him before the court.
Accordingly, the court also took a statement from the minor. The accused rapist was absconding for so long. It may be noted that Anil Das raped a 10-year-old minor by taking her to the rubber garden in Niharnagar Hospital Tilla area on September 1 last.
On September 06, a case was filed with PR Bari Police Station by the family of the minor victim. After conducting raids in various places for the last few days, the police managed to arrest the accused Anil Das in the rape incident last night on the basis of secret information.
